 The literal terms of the narrow holding in United States v. Ivic, 700 F.2d 51 (2d Cir. 1983) require no more than an objective appraisal that some economic purpose was to be accomplished by the crime charged: 'We hold that when an indictment does not charge that an enterprise or the predicate acts have any financial purpose, it does not state a crime under [RICO],' Id. 700 F.2d at 65 (emphasis supplied).
