Any type of motorized transportation that are left on another's property for a period of time as defined by local statutes. Such statutes may provide for notice to the last recorded owner and any recorded lienholders before disposal. Generally, statutes give the status of an abandoned vehicle to any motorized transportation which has been left unattended on public property (without the consent of the owner) for more than forty-eight hours or which has been left unattended for more than twenty-four hours on the right-of-way.
