Latin. Those who fall from (or lose) their right. An expression in Scottish law for the loss of a property right. 

This refers to the loss of right in a subject, by loss of possession or abandonment. When property has in this way passed from the right of the last possessor, it is confiscated as caduciary, and belongs to the Crown, or others deriving right therefrom, and does not, as in the case of subjects never before appropriated, become the property of the finder or first subsequent possessor.
