The equitable doctrine of laches has no application in an action at law to recover damages. 'Laches or delay which might preclude the defrauded party from rescinding the contract induced by fraud does not affect his right of action for damages, but he may bring his action of deceit at any time within the period fixed by the statute of limitations.' 20 Cyc. 94, and cases there cited.
