United States v. Pacelli

491 F.2d 1108, cert. denied 419 U.S. 826 (2nd Cir. 1974)

Facts

Patsy Parks was scheduled to appear before a federal grand jury, and federal agents tried to subpoena her. She had previously testified before a grand jury regarding drug dealing about a box containing money that was delivered to Pacelli (D). She was found the next day brutally stabbed and doused with gasoline and set afire in a desolate area of Long Island. The grand jury indicted D and others and alleged that D killed Parks to keep her from testifying. D was convicted and appealed on the admission of testimony.
