Wendy was a cashier at a Coffeehouse and was robbed at gunpoint by Motta (D). Wendy complied and gave D $300 in cash. Wendy gave a description of the robber to police who arrived on the scene on April 29. On May 6, Wendy met with a sketch artist from the police department, and he drew a composite sketch of the robbery suspect. On June 3, Wendy picked D's photo from a photographic array of about 25-30 pictures. On June 9, Wendy confirmed her IDs of D and pointed out D as the person who robbed her. At trial, D claimed an alibi defense and called witnesses to describe his physical appearance that night and to corroborate his alibi. D was found guilty and appealed: the composite sketch was admitted at trial.
