Gladstone (D) was a student at the University of Puget Sound. D had a conversation with Douglas Thompson concerning the possible purchase of marijuana from Robert Kent. All of the parties were students at the University. Thompson was an undercover student narc hired by the local police. When asked about buying marijuana, by Thompson, D replied that he did not have enough but told him about Kent. D gave Thompson, Kent's address and drew a map to Kent's residence. Testimony of the brief conversation and D's very crude drawing consisting of 8 penciled lines indicating where Kent lived constitute the whole proof of the aiding and abetting presented. Thompson went there and bought marijuana. D was tried and convicted for aiding and abetting. D appealed.
