Regina v. Tyrell All E.R.

1215 (1893)

Facts

Tyrrell was underage. She was charged with being a girl over the age of 13 and under the age of 16 and aiding and abetting the commission against herself of carnal knowledge in that she solicited and incited another to have sex with her for which Thomas Ford (the actual name in the casebook is Froud, but in the version of the case we pulled it was Ford) was found guilty of. The evidence presented at trial proved that Tyrrell (D) had aided and abetted and solicited and incited Ford to have sex with her. D was convicted and appealed.
