Oppenheimer Fund v. Sanders

437 U.S. 340 (1978)

Sanders (P) sought to require Oppenheimer (D) to help compile a list of the names and addresses of the members of P's class from records kept by a transfer agent. The court of appeals held that D was ordered to assist in compiling the list and to bear the $16,000 cost (authorized under Rule 26-37). The Supreme Court granted certiorari.
