Lynch v. Director Of Public Prosecutions For Northern Ireland

1 All E.R. 913 (1975)

Facts

Meehan was a militant member of the Irish Republican Army. He ordered Lynch (D) to drive two men to a garage. At the garage, a police officer was shot and killed. D complied with Meehan's commands because he feared for his life. D was convicted for aiding and abetting. He appealed his conviction, claiming that he committed the crime under duress.
