D’s dress code required hair to be cut at or above the collar. A stewardess is permitted to wear a wig. It was also stated that wigs cannot be used to hide violations of the appearance regulations. X underwent a hostess grooming appearance inspection. Her supervisor, Elizabeth Connelly asked if X wore a wig. X denied it and Connelly demanded X to lift her hair to verify. X refused. Two days later X again refused to verify. X was again asked to report 4 days later for another inspection. X failed to show and was terminated. X filed two grievances against D, one for harassment and one for her discharge. X had worked for D for a long time and had a good record.
