Facts

As established in the previous case. Hurley (P) found the money and then took it home instead of having it safeguarded at the airbase he worked at full time. P then unsuccessfully attempted to spend the money in a department store when the store called the police. In 1964, P was sued for conversion and eventually the money was turned over to the police.
