Facts

Rebecca and Bruce were married just after Bruce finished his first year of medical school. Rebecca had a degree and worked and supported the marriage with her earnings while Bruce finished medical school. Bruce did secure some jobs. After completion of medical school, Bruce supported the marriage while Rebecca worked only sporadically. They eventually divorced, and Bruce was ordered to pay child support and alimony. By the end of the proceedings, Bruce was ordered to pay Rebecca $250 per month child support and $150 per month rehab alimony for two years. After a circuit court de novo trial, the award when to $250 per month for the child and $500 per month in rehab alimony for two years. Bruce was ordered to pay $1,875 in attorney fees. Rebecca appealed in that the medical license was not considered as marital property.
