Hegel v. Langsam Ct. Of Common Pleas,

273 N.E. 2d 351 (1971)

Facts

P’s seventeen-year-old daughter was a freshman student at the University of Chicago. P filed a complaint that alleged that the University did not supervise the students living in the dormitory and allowed P's daughter to become associated with criminals, to be seduced, to become a drug user, and to fail to return her to her parent's custody on demand. The suit was for a negligent failure to perform supervisory duties. Ds made a motion for judgment on the pleadings.
