Edward and Ethel Strawbridge were married in 1935. Edward died in 1943. They had no children and all of his brothers and sisters, along with his father and mother also predeceased him. There were only descendants of his two sisters left alive. Edward had a will in 1928 which contained a general revocation clause. This will left his homestead land, furniture, and furnishings to his sister Jane Blades. Edward also left a 235-acre farm to Jane in the form of a life estate, then a life estate to named nieces and nephews and the remainder to a church. On October 20, 1941, Edward executed an instrument that gave to Ethel land. This suite was a dispute over that deed.
