Facts
D was charged with rape by force; the punishment, confinement in the penitentiary for fifty years. During trial, D sought to introduce testimony about the general reputation of the prosecutrix for chastity in that she regularly spent the night with different men in her apartment. This evidence was excluded. D was convicted and appealed.
