Faulk v. Aware, Inc.

231 N.Y.S.2d 270 (1962)

Facts

Faulk (P) sued Aware (D) for libel when D's founder accused P of having communist sympathies and affiliations. The jury rendered a verdict of $1,000,000 against three Ds and $1,250,000 against D and another defendant. P filed a motion for pre-verdict interest, and the court denied it. P appealed. Ds appealed the awards as excessive.
