Facts

Edgar Vassaur, Jr. owned the real estate in question prior to his marriage to Betty E. Vassaur. After the marriage, Edgar conveyed the property to himself and his wife as joint tenants. After this conveyance, Betty shot and killed Edgar, and was charged with first-degree manslaughter. While these charges were pending, she conveyed the property to her father (P). Edgar Vassaur, Sr. (D) was named administrator of his son's estate. P brought an action to quiet title to the property in himself. In his answer, D claimed, among other things, one-half ownership of the property. P moved for judgment on the pleadings, and his motion was granted by the trial court. D appeals.
