P and other boys were throwing snowballs at cars that drove by P’s house. D’s car was hit and D got out and chased P down. D took the 10-year-old boy by the arm to his car and told him to get in. D drove downtown until he found a police officer. D informed the officer of what happened and left P in the officer’s custody. P sued D for false imprisonment and battery. The court dismissed the complaint. P appealed.
