A witness testified that D had approached him in prison asking to get some hacksaw blades for $150 to be paid by a fellow inmate. The witness was a day release prisoner who worked at a nearby bakery. The witness testified that he put the blades in the bread at the bakery and that at a later time D agreed to receive the blades. D got the blades and then told the witness to talk to the fellow inmate. That inmate then gave the witness a note for $150. Prison officials got word of the transaction by obtaining the note. On June 2 prison officials caught the other inmate while he was attempting to go over the prison wall and they found a hacksaw blade on his person. A shakedown was done, and two more blades were found in D's cell. The jury found D guilty, and this appeal resulted.
