Armstrong v. Bangor Mill Supply Corp.

145 A. 741 (1929)

Facts

P sent a broken crankshaft from his lath mill to D's machine shop for repairs. In making the repairs D's workmen left the shaft out of alignment, necessitating its return from P for realignment. P's mill was shut down six days with a resultant loss of earnings and expenses of maintenance. P sued D and got the verdict for these losses and expenses incidental to the crankshaft repairs. D motioned for a new trial.
