D argues that a four-year-old child was not competent to testify. The victim was four when she testified about incidents that occurred when she was two. The trial court questioned the witness after contradicting statements were made by the child on whether she would tell the truth. D also argued that hearsay evidence was admitted upon what the victim told various witnesses regarding who sexually abused the child and that because the child was available to testify that such admissions violated the hearsay rules. D also objected to the alleged conflicts of testimony given at trial between the child and that of the other witnesses called. D appealed.
