Facts

A suit arising from an accident involving a tire made by Bridgestone/Firestone, Inc. (D), was filed by three parties in federal district court. Only Patterson's (P) damages exceeded $50,000. The damages of Patterson Enterprises (P1) and Patterson Farms Trucking (P2), were both less than $50,000. D moved to dismiss the claims of P1 and P2; they lacked the diversity jurisdictional requirement. The motion was denied.
