Facts

Avery (P) claimed that Harris (D) stated in front of several persons that P had stolen a horse, that D took the horse from P, arrested P, and confined him in the county jail with felons for four or five days. P sued D for false imprisonment and slander. D demurred; several causes of action were improperly joined. The court ruled that the facts constituted a single transaction. P appealed.
