Facts
Christy (P) claims that on the 1st day of June 1839, he had actual possession and ownership of three tracts of land and that Scott (D), with force of arms, ejected him therefrom, and has thenceforward kept him out of possession thereof. P sued D and D answered. D filed answers in nine distinct articles. P demurred to the 3rd, 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th pleas. Judgment was given to D and P appealed, and the Supreme Court granted certiorari.
