Facts

Stone (D) manufactured dynamite. Webb (D1), an employee, stole some and used it to blow up Bridges' (P) home 100 miles from the dynamite storage site. P's twelve-year-old son was killed, and both P and another son were injured. The fact was established that D immediately reported the theft of the dynamite to federal authorities within 24 hours after it occurred. P's home was blown up two days later. P sued D1 and D under strict liability. A summary judgment was granted for D. The appellate court reversed. D appealed.
