An action; a thing done. A deed or act that exists and is real; that which is true and which took place. Facts include both things and actual occurrences and even states of mind. Any act of condition or relationship of things that exists of existed. 

It is either simple or compound. A fact is simple when it expresses a purely material act unconnected with any moral qualification; for example, to say Peter went into his house, is to express a simple fact.
