United States v. Paig

464 F. Supp. 99 (E.D. Pa. 1978)

Facts

In 1970, Paige (D) pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of stolen goods. Eight years later, he was charged with possession of stolen securities. Since he had not committed any crimes in that eight-year span, he wanted to prevent the government (P) from introducing evidence of his older conviction to impeach his credibility.
