H and W were married in 1959 while students at the University of Oklahoma. They graduated and lived in the area for a while but moved to New Orleans where H got admission to medical school. H went to medical school, and W worked as a teacher and supported both of them. H graduated in 1965 and began his internship at St. John's hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They lived there a year, and H obtained his license to practice medicine. H entered the Air Force in the summer of 1966 and then moved to San Bernadino, California after his basic training. H voted by absentee ballot in Oklahoma during this time. While in California, H told his wife to go visit relatives in Oklahoma, and when she called to make plans for her return, H told her to stay as there was 'someone else.' H mailed $3,800 to W over the next few months, and W filed for divorce in 1969. There were no children. The trial court overruled an objection to jurisdiction by H. The court ordered him to pay $250 per month temporary support. H filed this present action disputing jurisdiction.
