Facts

Black children had been denied admission to white public schools in their community under laws allowing segregation according to race. The Court found that the black children's schools and the white children's schools were being equalized with respect to buildings, curricula, qualifications, and salaries of teachers. Brown (P) was denied relief under the 'separate but equal' doctrine. P appealed.
